In 2004 I was nominated for the National Disney Creative Hands in Teaching Award.

In 2006 I was selected as teacher of the year.

​

In 2011 I was inducted as a lifelong member of the College National Honor Society, Alpha Chi.

​

​In 2012 I became a proud member of the Modern Language Association and the  National Council of Teachers of English.​
